Navy aircraft crashes during show of International India Aviation 2010 in Hyderabad, the ill fated plane is Surya Kiran, The aircraft was giving flying display during India Aviation 2010, which kicked off today at Begumpet airport.The reports say and the pilot has ejected safely.
Reports confirm Kiran HJT-16 of the Sagar Pawan aerobatic team has gone down.No Immediate casualties reported. Lately NDTV report tweeted that Hyderabad Police commissioner said pilot's fate is not known yet, late news confirms the death of pilot, recent reports of NDTV yet to be confirmed. Reports trickle says one person died and five injured.
In case the IAF aircraft crashes into residential area or in crowed residential area police suspect some people may have died. Telugu channels reports that pilot died and 5 people injured and the damage to property being ascertained. Official communication is awaited.
Praful Patel, Civil Aviation Minister: "There was an unfortunate incident where a Navy fighter has met with an accident. There are no official details as of now. Therefore I refrain from making comments on pilots and residents of where the aircraft met with accident." He also added, "I only pray almighty that there should not be any loss of life.”
